Design And Installation Precautions For Differential Pressure Sensors

1. Sensors should be installed at the highest possible height.
2. The sensor should be installed vertically with the pressure input facing downwards. The installation angle of the pressure input port should be less than 15 °.
3. Recommended initial installation method for pressure ports: The maximum allowable radial installation force is 80N for the high-pressure end and 40N for the low-pressure end. The maximum allowable radial force for normal operation of the sensor is 40N at the high pressure end and 20N at the low pressure end.
4. Sensors should be installed in appropriate locations or on designated brackets. The sensor should be installed with M6 fastening screws, with a tightening torque of 8 ± 2 Nm
5. The rubber hose and metal conduit connecting the sensor should be continuously lowered and should not have a U-shaped structure.
6. Ensure that there is no accumulation of water vapor and other impurities inside the sensor.
7. Sensor electrical connections should avoid exposure to excessively high temperature environments.
8. Sensors should be installed in a location that can avoid dust and soil contamination
9. Sensors should be kept away from high-voltage cables and equipment on the engine. Sensor cables should avoid being arranged parallel to high-voltage cables.
10. The installation position should ensure easy maintenance and disassembly of the sensor for future maintenance.
11. It is not possible to recommend the specific length of the metal conduit for connecting the sensor. This is because the exhaust temperature is affected by the size and installation position of the engine. So when determining the length of the conduit, customers should measure the exhaust gas temperature at the sensor end on site and ensure that the temperature is within the working range of the sensor (-40~140PC).
