Pressure Gauge Application

An instrument for measuring fluid pressure. Usually, the measured pressure is compared to a certain reference pressure (such as atmospheric pressure or other given pressure), so the measured pressure is relative pressure or pressure difference. According to different working principles, it can be divided into three forms: liquid column type, elastic type, and sensor type. Liquid column pressure gauges such as U-shaped tube pressure gauges and discharge tube pressure gauges convert pressure signals into liquid column height signals based on the principles of fluid statics. Water, alcohol, or mercury are often used as pressure measuring working fluids. Elastic type pressure gauges, such as Baodeng tube pressure gauges, convert pressure signals into mechanical deformation of elastic components and output signals through pointer deflection. This type of pressure gauge is commonly used in industrial systems. The principle of a pressure sensor is to convert the pressure signal into a certain electrical signal, such as a strain gauge, which causes a change in resistance through deformation of elastic components; Piezoelectric, utilizing piezoelectric effects, etc. Liquid column pressure gauges have a simple structure, high sensitivity and accuracy, and are commonly used to calibrate other types of pressure gauges. However, their disadvantages include large volume, slow response, and difficulty in automatic measurement. Elastic pressure gauges are convenient to use and have a large pressure measurement range, but their accuracy is low and they cannot be automatically measured. Various pressure sensors can be miniaturized, accurately and quickly measured, especially for dynamic pressure, achieving multi-point patrol detection, signal conversion, long-distance transmission, connection with computers, timely processing, etc. Therefore, they have been rapidly developed and widely used.
